The Cottage
Ground Floor
With a lounge/dining room/kitchen and amenities, including: electric hob and oven, microwave and fridge. The lounge has a large comfortable sofa, a leather bucket chair, dining table and chairs. A TV with Freeview/DVD/CD player can be found alongside a payphone. A feature woodburner - just right for those romantic evenings by the fire.
A door leads from the kitchen to an annex with a brand new downstairs toilet with a wash basin and W.C.
First Floor
Firstly, a double bedroom with a feature stone wall and a beamed ceiling. A double bed with a new pocket sprung mattress, ensures a good nights sleep. A seat beneath the sash window provides a view over the harbour by day and night. A travel cot is also available.
The bathroom was new in July 2009, complete with a top of the range boiler, ensuring plenty of hot water for the full size bath and Mira power shower. With brand new tiling and painted white, with a washbasin, W.C. and an electric shaver point.
Second Floor
A staircase leads to an attic bedroom with two single beds. This room has a delightfully bright aspect provided by the velux windows. For the romantics, there is a smugglers window offering views of the lane leading to the cliff tops.
Outside
Beside the front door, there is a “bink”. This is where you can sit, relax and watch the world go by, or paint whilst you enjoy the views. The cottage and bink is featured in a famous photo taken by Frank Meadow Sutcliffe. A car parking space, adjacent to the cottage is purely for Auntie Annie residents and there is a permit for an additional parking spot on the harbour near the life boat house, only a few yards from the cottage.
NB/ This cottage is centuries old and therefore, the steps may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Beamed ceilings throughout and ships timbers. Central heating from night storage radiators also 3 extra radiators worked from wood burning stove. Electricity (included in the tariff), bed linen, duvets and pillows provided but please bring own towels.
