Alum Cottage-when you go through the door you will be enchanted and amazed at the spacious interior
Alum Cottage is the cottage next door but one to Auntie Annie's. It has the same stunning south facing locaton and aspect as Auntie Annie's and is still set within the beautiful area of Staithes with the same local facilities to keep you busy.
Alum Cottage may appear small from the outside but is deceptively spacious inside. The double height living room features beamed ceiling, a superb natural sandstone wall. The well equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave etc. The dining area has pine table and seats four and the living area has seating, tv/dvd, radio etc. Please take a "peep inside Alum" to see just how spacious the interior is, hopefully our photos will do it justice.
Leading from the living area there is a doorway that leads to a separate house toilet with a washbasin and bidet.
A second doorway leads into a double bedroom with double bed and door leading off the bedroom to an en-suite bathroom with bath, with over bath shower, washbasin, toilet etc.
The upstairs has a double sized room with two single beds, feature stone wall and exposed beams. Both bedrooms have wardrobes and other bedroom furniture. A travel cot is available if needed. The cottage comes with parking permits to park on the harbour just a few yards away.
Central heating is from night storage radiators, extra heating from gas fuelled live-coal stove if needed. Electricity and gas are included in trariff. Bedlinen, duvets and pillows provided, but please bring towels and teatowels.
